THAI NETWORK FOR AGROFORESTRY EDUCATION

 

Background : 

 
Land use change in Southeast Asia in relation to rapid loss of forest resource has been aware increasingly for the last two decade. World Agroforestry Center, or ICRAF(International Center for Research in Agroforestry) through the support of SIDA (Swedish International Development Agency) established Southeast Asian Network for Agroforestry Education (SEANAFE) in 1999 with five member countries, namely, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia. The purposes of SEANAFE were to exchange knowledge and provide technical support on text book and teaching material development, training and research among the members as well as establishment of national network. In 2001, Thai Network for Agroforestry Education (ThaiNAFE) was established and having 10 member institutions.

2.  Dr. Monton Jamroenphresa Kasetsart University

3. Dr. Boonserm Cheva-Isarakul Chiang Mai University

4. Dr. Pramoth Kaewwongsri Prince of Songkha University

 

Objective:

 

1. To develop agroforestry curriculum in Thailand.

2. To establish cooperation among Thailand university.
