SEANAFE culminated the phase 1 implementation of its Agroforestry Landscape Analysis (AFLA) Project during the second country team workshop on 25-29 February 2008 held at the Regional Community Forestry Training Center for Asia and Pacific (RECOFTC) headquarter in Bangkok, Thailand. |
| The 5-day workshop provided the venue for the country teams to (1) present the results of their research works, (2) refine the AFLA curricular framework, (3) develop teaching case study materials out of their research reports, (4) agreed on ways to move forward, and (5) draft concept proposals for AFLA Project Phase 2 implementation. ICRAF and RECOFTC provided technical assistance during the workshop. David Thomas from ICRAF-Thailand Office provided comments and suggestions on improving the country research reports, facilitated the revision of the AFLA curricular framework, and oriented the participants on ICRAF’s Trees in Multi-Use Landscapes in Southeast Asia (TULSEA) Project in complementation with SEANAFE’s AFLA Project. On the other hand, Peter Stephen and Duncan McLeod from RECOFTC guided the participants in developing teaching case study materials. SEANAFE Technical Adviser, Jess Fernandez, coordinated the workshop while ICRAF-Thailand Office staff, namely: Kanthatham Pramualpis and Saipim Channuan, provided secretarial and administrative support. written by seanafe |
